Car-free mode !

"Les défis de l'Oust" start from Adventure Headquarters on the quayside in Redon and finish up at St Vincent sur Oust at Ile aux Pies without using a car, taking part in a made-to-measure programme of activities along the way by bike, by canoe, on foot or even through the treetops ! Everything is provided, just bring a picnic ! The price includes bike hire, a walk at Ile aux Pies, refreshments and entry to Redon swimming pool. Optional canoeing, treetop adventure trail and orienteering course available.

 

Redon has a railway station with frequent services to Rennes, Nantes and Vannes. Come to Redon by train and bring your bike for a day out cycling along the towpath beside the river Vilaine or the Nantes-Brest canal. In addition, a train runs between Rennes and Redon, stopping at all the little stations near the river Vilaine, so cyclists and walkers can go back to their departure point by train (timetables permitting). Redon also has a pretty port where cabin cruisers and yachts are welcome to moor up.
