Contemporary festivals and traditions
Festivals and fetes bring people together, both young and not so young, to share and reinvent existing traditions in the form of new events, to sing and to simply enjoy being together. Examples are Motszic sous les Pins (rock music), Pomme d’Orange Christmas festival, the Fête des Lises (pottery), the Fête du Moulin de la Vallée (restored water mill and windmill), Fête de l’Ile aux Pies, Grand Fougeray Medieval Festival…
Your first Fest Noz… The best thing to do is to slip quiety into the circle and copy someone who knows what they’re doing ! Ridée, Pilé-menu, Rond de St Vincent... after a while it’s easy to pick up the rhythm and steps. Enjoy the music, enjoy a drink and have a ball even if you don’t like dancing ! Every Thursday during the summer there are free introductory dance sessions in Redon.
