Rivers and viewing points
Water is the dominant feature of the area with its seven rivers, but the landscape has a character all its own, very different from the marshlands of Brière and Guérande.
All the rivers are bordered by water meadows stretching as far as wooded slopes and rolling heathland, dotted with typical rocky outcrops, such as the Rocher de la Fée Carabosse and the «Gorges du Don ». Enjoy spectacular vistas from viewing points at Corbinières and on the Béganne Tourist Trail, from the Château de Rieux, the Carrière (quarry) at Fégréac, the Ile aux Pies overlooking the Oust and from St Jean-la-Poterie looking down over Redon…
